Last week, we ran another public fundraiser — and we’re proud of how it came together.
We kicked things off at Metrotown Station and later set up downtown at Robson Square, selling Krispy Kreme donuts to raise support for addiction recovery efforts in BC. With just a few volunteers and a stack of boxes, we spent the day sharing our mission, talking to people, and seeing how many were willing to stand behind the cause.
The response was so much more encouraging than we expected this time. Every dollar raised will go toward supporting recovery services in our community, and all leftover boxes were donated to the Downtown Eastside Women’s Emergency Shelter.
For us, it was a small but meaningful picture of what’s possible when people come together for something bigger than themselves.
We’re grateful to everyone who came by — whether you bought a box, donated, or even just stopped to hear about what we do. If you’d like to get involved, we’d love to have you join us.
We’re excited and hope you stick around for what’s next.
